Course Overview

MAHSA's Diploma in Medical Imaging is a specialized three-year program designed for students who have completed their SPM or its equivalent. Medical Imaging, or Radiography, involves capturing images of the internal body to diagnose diseases and conditions, utilizing techniques such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, and MRIs. This program is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with precise scientific equipment and have a strong interest in diagnostic medicine. Students will study a wide range of biophysical and health sciences, gaining both theoretical and practical knowledge of radiological imaging equipment and procedures. The curriculum covers various subjects, including basic anatomy, physiology, the fundamentals of medical imaging technology, introductory computer skills, microbiology, pathology, biochemistry, medical and radiation physics, pharmacology, radiographic photography, and radiographic techniques. Upon completing the program, graduates will be well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform diagnostic tests using radiation. This qualification is highly sought after in many hospitals and medical centers today.
