Course Overview

The Diploma in Maritime Management (DMM) program at UniKL University Malaysia is a specialized program that equips students with knowledge in maritime operations, management, and logistics. It is designed to meet the needs of the maritime industry and support the Malaysia Shipping Masterplan. The program prepares students for careers in various sectors of the maritime industry and focuses on developing their knowledge, skills, and competencies. Graduates of the program are expected to be knowledgeable and competent in maritime operations, demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills, commit to lifelong learning, practice professionalism with ethics and social responsibility, and be capable of engaging in business and technopreneurial activities. The program emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and the application of knowledge in real-world scenarios. This programme that prepares students with relevant competencies in the field of maritime operations. Graduates will be able to acquire opportunity for a position of apart from assuming roles in the public sectors. This programme also provides students with the knowledge of interpersonal communication, creative thinking, general management and maritime and port operations activities. At the end of the programme, students will undergo an internship up to 24 weeks (6 months). During this period, students will obtain hands-on experience by working in the maritime sector.
